What is Brand Photography?
Brand Photography is a series of professional images that represent your business visually, and share your identity through the use of colours, tone, props, and sets. These images can include you, your team, your products, your services, your workspace, your process, and any details that express the personality of your brand. Brand photography influences the way customers connect with you and your business, which makes it an important (and fun!) process.

Why is Personal Branding Important?
Visual content that connects with your audience drives sales. When a potential customer visits your website or social media pages, do they see high quality images? Consistency? Personality? Attention to detail? If you want to attract clients and position yourself as an expert, it’s important to make an inspiring first impression with quality photography. This gives you a competitive edge in your online presence and marketing material.

How to use Personal Brand Photos
Your photos can be used for all of your online and printed material, including your website, social media channels, landing pages, marketing material, business cards, logo, and more. While each of these has its unique purpose in connecting with customers, your brand’s personality and message should be consistent across the board.
Website
Your website is like your storefront. It’s meant to be the hub for your work and services, it contains all of your business’ information, and it’s where you capture engagement and sales. By personalizing your branding with photographs, you create a visual connection between your business and your customer by telling a story- your story. When a person feels they can relate to you, they will want to engage with you and they’ll be more open to purchasing your products and services.
Social Media Platforms
Social media is one of the fastest ways to grow and spread your message and share your branding. Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and Pinterest (among others) are visual platforms where people engage with businesses and each other through imagery. The more active you are on social media, the more successful you’ll be. Studies show that businesses with high social network activity bring in about 45% more sales than those that aren’t active on social. Everyone is hanging out on social- you should be too. And while you’re there, you might as well be authentic and clear with your branding.
Landing Pages
A landing page is a single page designed for a marketing or advertising campaign. It’s purpose is to convert visitors into leads by capturing a visitor's information in exchange for a desired offer. Unlike a website that has multiple pages for exploration and different goals, a landing page promotes a single offer with ads, photos, and content. With one purpose and one call to action, businesses have a better chance of converting traffic into customers.
Marketing Material and More
Besides the major pages, you can also use your professional and curated images in some of the following ways:
- About Pages
- Blog Posts
- Paid Ads
- Business Cards
- Letterhead
- Logos
- Webinars
- Email Signatures
- Podcast Artwork
- Online Courses
